Nobody Likes a Dead Cat

Why is it that the only day I call in sick with a migraine from hell:
a) my SheBoss leaves her cell phone on my desk and I have to leave a voicemail (which confuses the HeBoss) that she doesn’t get,
b) a construction crew starts work on the huge apartment complex immediately behind my bedroom window and I can’t sleep through it?
Seriously; Murphy … you and your laws suck ass.
HeBoss called to wonder where I was and I had to re-explain why I’m not in at my desk slaving away right now. I felt bad, but he wasn’t upset, just confused. I took Friday off and so missing Wednesday AND Friday will stress me out a bit. Unfortunately I’m missing dance class tonight … so maybe I can get one of the dancers to teach me the first class’ worth before next week. Maybe. If not oh well. *shrug*

I had a dream about an ex-boyfriend last night. It was an ex from when >TheEx and I took our one-year break in college. He was two years younger than me (and I was a Freshman in college!) and needless to say, it didn’t last. But yeah, it was a weird dream. I woke up and wanted it to continue. LOL Strangeness.

I must return to vegetation in my chair while I watch the last episode of Wonderfalls while scratching my 10-day-old peeling sunburn and then I think I’ll watch Under the Tuscan Sun and it will make me cry.

Edited to add: I called The Oregon Gymnastics Academy about their part-time (3:3o-9pm Mon, 9am-3:30pm Sat & Sun) customer service position and have an interview next Monday at 4pm. I’m excited about it, the woman I spoke with sounded very peppy and gymnastic-y. : )

My state of mind … well, it’s not Oregon. Sorry for those of you left here with my mindless body. *nods* I haven’t been able to sleep lately and am tempted to see if any of my friends have sleeping pills. Until I get insurance coverage (about 30 days) I really can’t afford to see my (regular) doctor and get a prescription filled … GAH!

I’m still stressed … quite a bit … but nothing much I can do about it but sit and wait for it to pass. I start my dance classes tomorrow evening. I’m taking a 7pm Mambo and an 8pm Cha Cha class. It should be a bit of a stress reliever.

I had dinner with my best friend and her family tonight and that was enjoyable.
I work until 1:30pm tomorrow and then have to wait for the cable guy to come over and fix my broken internet. A friend jerry-rigged it for me last night to help.
I need a hair cut & color but have to wait on that.
I made some really good sourdough toast tonight.
I want to go pluck my eyebrows.

There’s your update.

(Mad, I could use a couple hundred bucks. Don’t know how to make that quickly … besides working a corner … but I think that’s going to get in the way of my other job!)

I can’t get into my Gmail. Gmail notifier says I have THIRTY TWO emails sitting there waiting for me, but it won’t load. I am grouchy about that. Maybe I’ll try using *gag* IE instead of my beloved Firefox to check it out. We’ll see what happens.

I am watching the Diana concert on VH1 right now and didn’t really mean to start watching it, but now I’m hooked. I don’t even like PDiddy and am actually really happy with his performance right now. I can’t imagine being Prince William or Harry and being there to watch this. I would be bawling.

I saw POTC: At World’s End on Friday night with Mr.E.. I loved it. I almost cried. Then I was introduced to some of Mr.E.’s friends later who were great people and I really enjoyed myself. I should probably write an NC-17 post about the events that occurred later because I have to share them with somebody and that somebody gets to be you!

I saw Willie Nelson last night. It was simply the. most. amazing. concert I’ve ever seen. I was blown away. I am going to write an entire post about it because I was inspired by Willie Nelson. That man is intense and impressive.

Green Eggs & Ham

1. Who’s your favorite Ninja Turtle? I don’t remember much about the Ninja Turtles. I loved Splinter the rat, so I guess that would be on my favorite. I also loved April’s yellow jumpsuit and always wanted to dress up as her at Halloween, so yeah. I’m not so much of a turtle fan, but do enjoy the other characters.

2. Do you have a green thumb? I used to think that I would kill anything I tried to grow, but I have two huge plants, and one smaller one, that I haven’t killed in the year that I’ve had them. I don’t think it’s green, but it might have a slightly green tint to it!

3. What’s your favorite kind of salad? I love Ceasar salads. I love Cobb salads. I love green salads. I love spinach salads. I love chicken salad. I love egg salad. (If they’re made with Miracle Whip, not mayo!) I guess I like a lot of salads … mmm for salad.

4. Do you get seasick? I have only been on a few boats in my life and haven’t ever been seasick while on them. However, if I have a migraine and am in the car, I can get carsick pretty easily. Also, if I ride backwards on public transportation I will end up feeling icky and want to barf.

5. Are you a fan of the “Shrek” movies? Have you gone to see the third one? I own the first two Shrek movies, but haven’t seen the third one yet. Puss is probably my favorite character. He and his eyes make me laaaaugh!

So after a shower I texted Mr.E. to tell him: “I’m probably going to the airport around 530pm so unless you’re done before then you’ll have to miss me until Monday.”

He wrote back immediately; “I’ll work as fast as I can.”

The guy really wants to see me before I leave for the weekend. I am flattered. I am smitten. I am falllllling. I don’t want to hit hard, but I probably will. I am loving the tingly-butterflies with this though.

Last night I went on a blind date that my ex-husband set me up on. I shall never do that again.
The guy only talked about his work and school. He was boring. I escaped early because of it.
Blind dates are dumb.

Mr.E. texted me this morning … “It is a very nice day. What are you up to today? I might get done before too late. Maybe we could see each other for a bit?” … awwww … *le sigh* … I like this guy but I can’t let myself get attached. Or maybe I can … I’m scared. Scrrrrrd! He knows I’m going away for the weekend (picking up GayCee at 6:44pm!!!!!!!!!!!) and so he wants to see me before I “run away.” I’m flattered. I’m smitten. I’m SCRRRRRRRD!

I also have been talking to another guy online lately … Mr.I. He’s talkative … and I like that. Boys need to talk … they have to hold a conversation with me people! H
